ENVISAGE / UK EVENT TEAMS
Product sampling staff for UK events
A product to try. A reason to stop.

Sampling staff offer products to visitors and explain what they are trying. Depending on the agreed brief, they can answer basic product questions, explain where to buy and direct interested people to your own team. Sampling can support exhibition stands, retail activity and brand launches.
Sampling and selling are different briefs. If you need staff to actively close sales or qualify leads, tell us before quoting so we can match the service and preparation to the work.
Make the product briefing practical.
Share the product range, approved messages, sample sizes and any restrictions on who may receive a sample. For food or drink, supply the relevant ingredient and allergen information, handling instructions and any required training or qualifications for the activity. Staff should have a named contact for questions they cannot answer.
Confirm who supplies stock, serving equipment, storage, cleaning materials and waste facilities. Identify how samples will be replenished and what staff should do if stock runs low. Any licensing, permissions or specialist requirements need to be agreed for the event.
Balance conversations with distribution.
Some briefs prioritise trial; others need a fuller explanation. Agree whether the team should focus on samples distributed, product conversations or onward visits. Sample counts alone do not show whether people understood the product.
The Crufts projects show staff engaging with visitors around pet products. Use these as examples of relevant experience, while setting your own audience, handling requirements and measures for the new event.
Relevant experience.
