THE FRONT & CENTRE FIELD GUIDE
How to brief an event team
A short, specific brief gives staff something they can use on a busy floor. Make it clear what they should do, say and escalate.

The essential logistics
Include venue, exact meeting point, arrival time, contact number, uniform, access requirements and expected finish. Explain whether credentials or induction are required.
Your audience and purpose
Who is attending? What do you want them to understand or do? Provide a concise brand introduction and the three messages staff should remember.
Define each role
Set out responsibilities, tasks staff must not undertake, breaks and handover arrangements. Give demonstration staff the approved product information; give lead capture staff the agreed process and privacy wording.
Questions and difficult moments
Provide answers to likely questions, an escalation contact and instructions for complaints or accessibility requests. Venue and event safety procedures should come from the responsible organiser.
Check understanding
Allow time for questions and a short walkthrough before doors open. A practical demonstration often reveals missing detail more effectively than sending a long document.
