What does a brand ambassador do?

A brand ambassador represents your business in person. They welcome visitors, start relevant conversations and explain your product or campaign in language your audience understands. The role works well at exhibitions, retail launches and public activations where a friendly approach matters as much as product knowledge.

Agree the purpose of each conversation before the event: introduce a new product, encourage a demonstration, direct a visitor to your stand or hand an interested customer to your sales team. If you need active selling or qualified lead capture, choose sales / lead generation staff so the duties and rate reflect that brief.

Prepare the team to speak for your brand.

Share the key messages, intended audience and questions people are likely to ask. Give the team clear boundaries: what they can answer themselves, what they should refer to you and any claims they must avoid. Product training and briefing time should sit within booked hours.

Tell us how success will be recorded. Useful measures might include demonstrations completed, meaningful conversations or agreed handovers. These are measures to agree for your event, not guaranteed results.

Where this role fits.

A small launch may need one or two people to welcome visitors and explain the activity. A larger activation may need separate positions for welcome, demonstrations and queue guidance. Plan cover around the busiest periods and staff breaks, not only the total number of visitors.

Relevant experience.
